Today is World Mental Health Awareness Day.
This October, the faithful are encouraged to pray the
Novena for Mental Health in solidarity with Catholics across the United States from Friday,
October 10 (World Mental Health Day) to Saturday,
October 18 (the feast of Saint Luke the Physician). This Novena is offered in solidarity with those suffering from mental health challenges as well as health care professionals, family, and friends who are caring for people in need. We hope that this modest Novena will move all people to discern how God is calling them to offer greater assistance to those with mental health needs.

(Excerpt from Ave Maria Press)
Mental health is part of the whole person God created—body, mind, and soul. Yet so often, mental struggles remain unseen, unheard, or misunderstood.
On World Mental Health Day, we are reminded that God meets us in our weakness, not after we’ve “fixed” ourselves, but in the very places where we feel broken or burdened.
